This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in bridging our internal accounting, fund administration, and portfolio controlling functions, contributing directly to the efficient operation of our venture capital funds.
About the Position
As a Finance / FP&A Analyst, you will be a key point of contact and a crucial link between various aspects of our finance operations. You will work closely with the Head of Finance, as well as our Accounting & Treasury, Fund Reporting and Portfolio Controlling teams, to ensure the smooth flow of financial information and the integrity of our financials. Your responsibilities will encompass a blend of management control, business planning and modelling, process improvement, and business intelligence initiatives.
Your Responsibilities
  • Acting as a bridge between internal accounting, fund administration, and portfolio controlling teams, ensuring seamless information flow and alignment.
  • Developing and maintaining robust Excel-based models for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Contributing to budgeting and forecasting processes for our funds and management entities.
  • Establishing, documenting, and improving financial processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Driving Business Intelligence (BI) initiatives, including the development of insightful dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI.
  • Assisting in the creation of informative financial and management reports suitable for various audiences, from management to staff.
  • Summarising key findings using presentation tools such as PowerPoint for both management reviews and internal updates.
  • Developing a strong understanding of relevant finance and controlling principles, ideally with some exposure to Austrian GAAP (UGB).
  • Collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders across different teams.
Your Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in a business-related field such as Finance, Controlling, or Accounting. Other educational backgrounds with a strong understanding of Business Administration and Finance will also be considered.
  • Solid foundational knowledge in controlling and finance-related topics.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office/Google Workspace tools.
  • Experience or a strong interest in Business Intelligence tools, particularly Power BI, and a willingness to learn and utilise new technologies to improve productivity.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving.
  • A proactive attitude with a dedicated work ethic and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to different audiences.
  • Fluency in English is essential. German language skills will be very advantageous
  • An understanding of the venture capital or investment fund industry would be beneficial but is not a prerequisite.

According to Austrian law we are required to state a minimum salary for this position. The expected minimum annual gross salary for this role, on a full-time basis is EUR 50,000.00. The salary will be a competitive package based on previous work experience, hence overpayment is possible.
